the wcw baseball

seems a stitch
when

a red stair
case

wraps a white
storage

tank beside the
interstate.

deadlocked lifeguards

disembody your facelift footwork fingerprints

            upon this openmouthed trailhead
            toward the secondhand headbands

of the ponytailed brokenhearted:

                        the barefoot backyard fistfight
of two boldfaced knuckleheaded toothpicks—

“better than the firsthand handcrafted tailspin,”
                        says a levelheaded eyesight

brainchild,

“of a breathless heartache handgun bloodbath.”

shrink cringe tremble upwards toward
                                                      —for Pucci

We were driving from Philly to Delaware to go see Wilco and alongside I-95 I saw an image that I’d seen many times before and, after finally figuring it out, did my best to load the bases with it. That got me “the wcw baseball”. For “deadlocked lifeguards,” I was reading an article and for whatever reason words that had body parts in them jumped out, which forced me to start making a list and then when I had a good-sized list I put the disembodied remains into some form of narrative shape. As for “shrink cringe tremble upwards toward,” well, it’s all right there at ReVeLeR @ eYeLeVeL.
